Recovery - 6.7AM, 4PM

AM - 6.7 mi outdoors @ 4AM, 9:05/mi in 1:04:30

Energy was pretty good today, but when I went a bit harder in spots, felt some mild twinges in the left calf, so backed off the pace. Still a good recovery pace for me, better than the 10:00/mi+ in prior weeks. No foot pain, great!

I'm also now tracking calories in an effort to drop a few pounds for race day, ideally 5-7 pounds. Nothing crazy, just trying not to overeat on calories. Turns out I've been dramatically undereating during the day since I failed to adjust for all the miles I run now, but that leads me to overeat at dinner, so I'm trying to eat more earlier on to keep things more even.

PM - 5 mi easy TM 8:40/mi @ 1%

Felt pretty good on the energy today at lunch, probably the first time I could say that's been true the day after a quality workout! Started with a mile at 9:30, but then cranked it down to 8:40/mi at 1% since I was feeling fine. Hopefully this is a sign that I'm acclimating to the volume.
