Easy 6 miles, 8:00/mile, treadmill
The right hip is a lot better but still has at least a day of healing to go before I'm willing to go full strength again. Today's easy 6 miles on the treadmill was a good showing - mild soreness during and after the run, but overall significantly better than yesterday.
Had a brief hunger pang for miles 1-3 that made me feel not so good - I'm almost certain now it's related to drinking coffee before the run. Same thing happened to me on my long run. After those 3 miles, I think my body decides to go fat-burning, and it completely goes away.
Have been using the Brooks Transcend new sneaker on the treadmill. Still feels a bit tight for my liking, so it'll need more breakin time before I take it outdoors on longer runs.
Tomorrow is Hanson's tempo run day at MP, but I suspect I'll just run 10 miles at easy pace (8+ min/mile) if the hip is still bothering me, but I'll decide on the MP literally as I'm going along the run. I'd like to do 10 AM + 4 PM tomorrow if possible.
